WHY IS AUTHENTIC COMMUNICATION SO IMPORTANT TO ME?
My Values – I believe authentic communication skills form the cornerstone of one's sense of safety, love and connection and are essential for every future life choice and future relationship. They also provide vital clues for exploring & healing beliefs that link to your sense of identity, belonging and competency. They are also crucial in building strong and healthy relationships with others.
My Mission – My mission is to bring awareness to the crucial role communication, both internal (interoception) and external (interpersonal) can play in creating a safe environment for people to thrive and grow.
My Vision – I strive to inspire others to embrace the power of authentic communication because I want to live in a world where all human beings benefit from a greater sense of FeelingConnected!

FAMILY OF ORIGIN
My Personal Story
As a parent, I know the pain of watching someone you love suffer from intense internal anguish. My son was 11 years old when he faced a mental health crisis so debilitating that he would go into an emotional meltdown every afternoon after school. I also know the joy of watching that same young man 10 years later flourishing as a fully engaged, confident and compassionate individual with a strong sense of personal identity, purpose and connection. He often reminds me that the communication skills and perspectives that I taught him were instrumental to his transformation.

Thus started my journey to help others embed authentic communication strategies into their daily life to address the consequences of inter-generational patterns of trauma, denial and poor coping strategies.
As a teacher I have developed a curriculum and framework that is easy to follow, has practical application and delivers relatable real life skills. My methodology and wisdom have been accumulated and refined over 8 years in the classroom supporting students in acute emotional distress, as well as 7 years in private practise. I have also trained in the Circling methodology that delivers a deeper listening and intuitive communication experience.
As an Anthropologist and life-long learner I have spent 20 years studying the cultural trends, science and research that is revealing the causes of this current well-being crisis for our young people. While there are many factors, I focus on the crucial role communication, both internal (interoception) and external (interpersonal), can play in creating a safe environment for young people to thrive and grow. This includes using communication skills as both a trauma preventative measure as as well as a healing tool.
As a communication therapist and educator, I am adept at identifying unhelpful communication strategies, offering insightful perspectives and scaffolding others to adopt healthy communication strategies that address every level of their well-being. These techniques are adaptable within families, in the workplace, in friendship and in intimate relationships to navigate all types of overwhelming feelings and tricky conversations.
